Nahatlatch Provincial Park
The drive is amazing! Along the west side of the Fraser, you will cross many stunning creeks, ponds and scenery.
You will pass over a large bridge that is high over the marvelous jade green Nahatlatch River. As you cross the bridge you are entering the Nahatlatch Canyon and the next stretch
winds along the northeastern side of the river.
While you are driving, the Canyon starts opening into the River Valley that is
separated by four amazing lakes. Each lake has their own unique color.
Harrison Lake
Harrison Lake and Hot Springs,
located at the gateway of the Fraser Canyon.
Harrison Lake is southwestern BC's largest lake at 70 km long. The Lake is great for
swimming, boating, jet skis rentals, fishing and so much more! Come and enjoy there sandy beaches where they hold there yearly
sand sculpture tournament!
KAWKAWA Lake
Kawakawa Lake in Hope BC is a great place to beat the heat, with public
beach, boat rentals and more also you can stay at one of the many local
accommodations with private lake access. Kawkawa Lake is the near the Coquihalla
canyon and the Othello tunnels. The Lake is also known for the beautiful spawning Kokanee salmon you can see spawning in the nearby
creeks.
Lake of the Woods
Lake Of the Woods is a small lake located right as you begin your journey into the heartland of the Fraser Canyon. This lake with great highway access provides a great spot on all of those HOT canyon summer days, Stop by for a quick dip or enjoy the day at this shady picnic spot located on the banks of the lake. also located on the lake is the Lake of the Woods resort providing accommodations and dining right on the lake front.
