Rivers and Creeks
The Fraser Canyon is home to the
some of the
greatest waterways in Canada, Our rivers are renowned for a white water rafting,
kayaking, canoeing, fishing camping
and a course there beauty The Fraser River Being the Largest River in the area and where all waterways in the canyon flow into Many Rivers and Creeks in the area
are home to spawning salmon, in fact the Fraser River is supports more spawning salmon then any other waterway in the world. Millions and Millions of Salmon make there way
to the creeks and rivers where they spawn sometimes traveling over 1000 km to reach there spawning grounds. So many rivers and cliffs and mountains make the Fraser
Canyon a difficult place to construct infrastructure, and while visiting the Fraser Canyon see some amazing
bridge spans over rivers and canyons flowing into
the Fraser Canyon, in fact some of the tallest bridges in Canada span across gorges in the
rugged Fraser Canyon.
The Fraser River
The Fraser River is the largest fish producing water course in the province and the worlds largest
supporter of the spawning sockeye salmon. Because of this, millions of Spring, Coho, Chum, Pink and
Sockeye salmon pass through the canyon on their way to spawning grounds every year.

The drive is amazing! Along the west side of the Fraser, you will cross many stunning creeks, ponds and scenery.
You will pass over a large bridge that is high over the marvelous jade green Nahatlatch River. As you cross the bridge you are entering the Nahatlatch Canyon and the next stretch
winds along the northeastern side of the river.
While you are driving, the Canyon starts opening into the River Valley that is
separated by four amazing lakes. Each lake has their own unique color.

Sasquatch PROVINCIAL PARK
Sasquatch
Provincial Park in Harrison is a great place for campers to enjoy the great
back country the Fraser Canyon has to offer. With a great selection of
campsites on two different lakes, Deer Lake and Hicks Lake, providing
tenting area's and accessibility for tent trailers, 5th wheels and RV'S. The
Park is equipped with a sani-station so you can keep your recreational
vehicle in the park your entire stay, canoe rentals, hiking trails, fishing,
wildlife viewing, bird watching, swimming boating and canoeing are all great
possibilities for this provincial park. Group campsites available as well

The Nahatlatch River Valley
To get to the Nahatlatch River Lakes and River Valley, take the Trans-Canada Highway,
head east until you reach Boston Bar, turn left and head through North Bend and then
follow Chaumox Road. The drive is amazing! Along the west side of the Fraser, you will

which we are famous for. The Nahatlatch River has some of the best white water in

the area.
The Thompson River
The Thompson River, Flowing from the Kamloops Lake the Thompson River
is one of the main
contributors to the Fraser River. The Thompson
is a beautiful river that changes color throughout the season and mid summer to the fallowing spring its a beautiful jade green.
The Thompson is most known for the Dry desert like climate perfect for campers and outdoor adventure, the river is a heaven for
Kayakers and
white Water Raft Enthusiasts, Fishing is another favorite activity enjoyed on the Thompson River. Certain areas of the river are
swim able ,
at appropriate water levels, however you should have experience and knowledge in river
swimming. Because of the Climate fruit growers have
flocked to this area for many decades, you can enjoy some of this tasty fruit at one of the many local fruit stands. The Thompson Canyon has many

The Coquihalla Canyon
The Coquihalla River Flows into the Fraser River in Hope BC, The gorgeous Dark Green River winds

Kawkawa Lake in Hope BC is a great place to beat the heat, with public beach, boat rentals and more
also you can stay at one of the many local accommodations with private lake access.
Kawkawa Lake is on the near the Coquihalla
canyon and the Othello tunnels. The Lake is also known for the beautiful spawning Kokanee salmon you can see spawning in the nearby
creeks.
Lake of the Woods
Lake Of the Woods is a small lake located right as you begin your journey into the heartland of the Fraser Canyon.
This lake with great highway access provides a great spot on all of those HOT canyon summer days, Stop by for a quick dip or enjoy the day at this
shady picnic spot located on the banks of the lake. also located on the lake is the Lake of the Woods resort providing

Lightning Lake
Lightning Lake in Manning Provincial Park is an amazing
experience with virtually something for anyone you can entertain the
whole family all day long, The lake provides access trails that loop the entire lake which access other hiking trail's
as well,
lightning lake along with the rest of manning provincial park is known for its beautiful hiking trails. The Rainbow bridge to the left
is a great place to jump in the lake, however if you do this don't dive and be extremely cautious of where you are jumping! There is great
spots to go swimming all over this huge lake, There is large playing field with beach

Harrison Lake
Harrison Lake and Hot Springs,
located at the gateway of the Fraser Canyon.
Harrison Lake is southwestern BC's largest lake at 70 km long. The Lake is great for
