While Visiting Hells Gate Airtram be sure to cross over top the exact point known as "Hells Gate" on the fully suspended bridge. This bridge will give a great view of the salmon battling these fierce rapids as they enter the giant salmon fishways. The Hells Gate Suspension bridge is equipped with see through metal grating so you can see a feel the violent rushing gorge below your feet. on the other side a trail leads to one of the two trans-continental rail lines that pass through this canyon.  This is a great for any Railway lovers to get a great photo of the locomotives as they emerge from one of the many tunnels that cut through this jagged landscape. The trail is built and maintained for the department of fisheries and oceans and is open for public viewing during hells gate airtram operating hours.
