In November of 1981 Hollywood film crews began to transform Hope British Columbia into a rural American town in the filming of the blockbuster hit Rambo First Blood. Over the next several months hope and the Fraser Canyon experienced gas station explosions, gun fire and stunt men. As excited as as the locals were to be apart of such a major film project in there home town, little did they know the legacy that would be left behind for ever. The Success of Rambo First Blood led into a series of 4 films made from 1981 - 2007. Rambo fanatics from around the world travel to the small town of Hope British Columbia to get a glimpse of what people now call Rambo Town. Many of the original locations used in this film are still left unchanged so fans can really see and touch many of the sets and props used in the film. The Hope Visitor Info Center and museum in Hope BC has a great selection of props, and film memorabilia available for viewing. There knowledgeable staff can provide you with information on the film, great stories and directions to filming locations. Over 25 years have passed and the legend of Rambo town lives strong.
