Many of the old gold rush and exploration

properties in the Fraser Canyon are believed to be accompanied by ghosts and in

Yale BC where devastation struck this town twice in the gold rush when it
burnt to the ground not once but twice taking the largest all girl private in
western north America causing many deaths. Greed and Violence caused many
deaths, and of course at this time the lack of medical assistance available many

Popular Attractions
----------------------------------------------------------
BOSTON BAR, British
Columbia: With plumes of cigarette smoke lingering throughout
the
fresh Fraser Canyon air, it seems like B.C.'s smokers are not the only
ones who aren't prepared to "butt out". The dead don't agree,
either! "It's been an interesting winter to say the least," chuckles
Debbie McKinney, long-time General Manager of Hell's Gate
Airtram. "There always seems to be someone smoking around here. but
there's never anyone at the end of the cigarette!"
According to McKinney, the staff and management are not the only ones to
complain about the disembodied cigarette smoke: customers have
complained about it, too. "It is just something that we will have to
keep an eye - and nose - on!" adds McKinney. The popular attraction was
deemed officially haunted by a Vancouver-based paranormal research group
last winter.
The photo depicts the outline of a spooky face
that was spotted in the Fraser River. The photo was taken just above the Hell's
Gate gorge by a visitor, who submitted the photo to the Airtram Management. "We
sent the photo to a photo analysis lab in Vancouver, and they told us it was a
classic case of 'Pareidolia,'" says McKinney's brother Brian. The term
pareidolia describes a psychological phenomenon where an individual perceives a
vague and random image or sound to be significant. Continues Brian, "Not
everyone agrees with the findings. The spooky face is just part of the eerie
mystique that has been going on in and around the Hell's Gate Airtram property."
