The Wild Side 3-4 Day Weekend Getaway

The beginning of your weekend starts in Bridal Falls where you can choose from many options of exciting and wild entertainment. Exciting venues include Adrenaline Paint Ball Park, Trans-Canada Water Slides,  Minter Gardens, Para Gliding, Golf Course & Range, and more! In Bridal Falls there is really something wild for everyone. While in Bridal Falls be sure to visit the Bridal Falls Provincial Park where you can view beautiful water falls cascading down the jagged mountain side resembling a brides veil. This is always a picture perfect moment so be sure to bring a camera. It's a great place for a picnic and provides hiking trails and nature walks in a beautiful lush moss coated rainforest. Pet friendly, but be sure to poop and scoop. After an exciting day at Bridal Falls its time to go to Harrison Lake & Hot springs. There you can enjoy a soak in the Natural Hot Springs of this area, known by early pioneers as a place of "healing". Stay at one of Harrison's great accommodations including the Harrison Hot Springs Resort and Spa where you can enjoy there Healing Springs Spa, or enjoy a round of golf on their golf course. While in Harrison there are great possibilities for wild recreation such as jet ski rentals, power boating, water skiing, wind surfing, para-sailing, buggy rentals, bike rentals, hiking, fishing and more. Also in Harrison is the Sasquatch Provincial Park a great place for campers! After you have enjoyed the wild side of Harrison its time to continue east bound on the number 7 HWY until it merges with the Trans-Canada HWY where you will continue on east bound on HWY 1 until Hells Gate 45 minutes east bound on HWY 1. You can't miss Hells Gate so stop and take the tram ride down. Its a 500 ft cliff on a 37?  angle crossing over the Hells Gate Gorge, the deepest and most narrow point of the Fraser at only 110 feet wide sometimes reaching over 200 ft in depth! Watch as the salmon battle there way through this point to continue to their upstream spawning grounds. After the tram ride, cross the suspension bridge and stand over the Hells Gate Canyon. At Hells Gate there are a great number of activities for all ages, including a restaurant, shopping, patio pub and a fudge factory holding a world record for 232 flavors of fudge! After you have enjoyed your day at Hells Gate, its time to visit Lytton BC, the hottest city in Canada, and white water rafting capital. Stay the night in one of the excellent Resorts, B&B, or Provincial Parks for Camping and RVing! Then pick one of the many white water rafting companies and prepare to enjoy white water rafting, white water paddle rafting, and kayaking on rivers such as the Fraser River, the Hells Gate Canyon, the Thompson Canyon, Nahatlatch River, the Stein, and the Nicola where great opportunities await any skill level, from top to bottom! After a wild day of white water fun, choose a local community where you can discover a great selection of accommodations including B&B, Camping, RVing, Cabins, Hotel, and Motels. Stay one more day and explore more of Canyon Country!
